Lauren Landfield, CFA is the founder and CEO of Panthera Capital. His background is uniquely suited for the capital structure arbitrage strategies Panthera Capital deploys. Lauren has over 25 years of investment and financial expertise (spanning institutional investments, investment banking, equity research and corporate finance roles) and has completed over 50 deals including venture investments, M&A, derivatives, and debt and equity offerings. Prior to Panthera Capital, Lauren spent seven years at a multi-billion dollar convert manager where he focused on TMT and consumer discretionary sectors and was promoted to partner. Prior to the buy-side, at Rovi Corporation (d/b/a TiVo), Lauren led financings, acquisitions and IR and completed over 20 transactions including over $1.5B of derivatives, $2B of debt financings, and over $3.5B in acquisitions, e.g., the $2B LBO of Gemstar TV-Guide. His experience and core skills include identifying investment and acquisition opportunities, financial analysis/valuation across the capital structure (debt, equity, and derivatives), structuring and negotiating deals, presenting to Boards, meeting with investors and fund raising. Lauren lives in Lake Tahoe (NV) with his wife and two sons.
